In the world of extravagant nail art and glamour, Jenny Bui is a name that stands out. Known as the “Queen of Bling,” she gained fame as the nail tech responsible for creating the iconic, over-the-top nail designs of the rap sensation Cardi B. However, in a recent turn of events, Jenny Bui is facing a devastating setback as her beloved nail salon went up in flames.

Jenny had just recently opened her new salon in the Throgs Neck location days before it went up in flames. The fire broke out in the back of the business at 3821 E. Tremont Ave. around 5:40 a.m. on Thursday, September 28.

Jenny expected to have her Grand Opening next month. She claims she lost $100,000 worth of items in the fire since she had yet to transfer the insurance from her previous salon in the Fordham section to the new location.

When I saw this, my reaction was that I was about to pass out, says Bui. Luckily, I have my neighbors who held me, and they said, ‘It’s OK, Jenny. We’re all going to help you.
The FDNY says the cause of the fire has yet to be determined and they are actively investigating. When the owner of the building was asked what he thought about the fire and how it may have started, he said “No comment” and walked away.
