A 20-year-old woman in Detroit Michigan was pronounced dead but was to be found later breathing at the funeral home.
The Southfield Fire Department said they responded to a call for an unresponsive female on Sunday morning.
Once the paramedics arrived on the scene they found a young woman who was not breathing. According to a statement from the fire department, the paramedics performed CPR and other life-saving methods for more than 30 minutes.
After their life-saving methods did not work, “given medical readings and the condition of the patient, it was determined at that time that she did not have signs of life” they said in a statement.
According to the police, their standard operating procedure in situations where there is no foul play suspected, the body is turned over to the medical examiner’s office and given all medical data.
Once the medical examiner’s office received the body, they also determined that the young lady was lifeless. They released her body to the family so they could begin making arrangements with the funeral home.
Do you believe in miracles? Well, it was a sign of shock to staff members at the James H. Cole funeral home when they realize the lady was still breathing.
It is still unclear what led up to the woman being unresponsive or how she gained life again after hours of being deceased.
No personal information has been released to the media at this time about the woman’s identity. We will update this story as updates become available.
