SISTER ACT 3 IS IN THE MAKING!!!!! Sorry for the caps, just had to say it LOUDER for the people in the back. Part 3 of Sister Act is long overdue.
Whoopi Goldberg confirmed the news during a virtual appearance on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” Tuesday.
Goldberg announced the news after Corden asked her why another installment of the popular 90’s movie never happened.
“For a long time they kept saying no one wanted to see it,” said Goldberg, “and then quite recently it turns out that may not be true, people might want to see it.”
We all want this, and we all want the originals to return.
“working diligently to try to figure out how to get the gang together and come back.”
Goldberg would more than likely return to her starring role as Deloris Wilson. In the 1992 ‘Sister Act’ movie, Deloris Wilson was a lounge singer who was forced to join a convent after being placed in a witness protection program.
The film followed up with a sequel in 1993, ‘Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit’. This installment of the movie went on to be a fan favorite.
“It’s a really fun movie. It’s fun and it feels good and you know, nobody’s mad. It’s just like listen, bad singing, great singing, OK singing and then nuns. What’s better than that?”
