The list of people who are in legal trouble with Vanessa Bryant is growing. Ever since the tragic day in January, Vanessa has been looking to hold all of those at fault responsible. Vanessa is suing Sheriff Villanueva over photos taken of the crash victims.
On the day of the fatal crash, several sheriff deputies pulled out their personal cell phones and took pictures of the remains of all the dead victims. The crash claimed the lives of Vanessa’s husband Kobe Bryant, her daughter Gianna Bryant and 7 others.
Vanessa’s lawyer stated that on the day of the crash, Vanessa requested the Sheriff’s Department to make the site a no-fly zone, so that photos of the victims weren’t released by blogs and media. The attorney made it clear that this was of critical importance to Vanessa. She really wanted to protect the dignity of all the victims.
“It is completely inexcusable and deplorable, an unspeakable violation of human decency” says the lawyer.
Law Enforcement sources confirmed that a deputy who was in training took the photos to a bar, and attempted to impress a woman by bragging that he had exclusive images of Kobe Bryant. He showed the woman the remains of the late legend Kobe Bryant’s body. It was the bartender that overheard the conversation and filed an online complaint with the Sheriff’s Department.
Vanessa Bryant understood that photos were taken by the NTSB for investigation and documentation. However what she can’t wrap her mind or heart around is why anyone would take photos of the victims, with the intention to share them.
Vanessa was extremely upset and wanted the harshest punishment possible for those deputies.
According to the lawsuit,
“no fewer than 8 sheriff’s deputies at the crash site, pulled out their personal cell phones and snapped photos of the dead children, parents and coaches. the deputies took these photos for their own personal gratification.
The lawsuit continues by mentioning the deputy who allegedly went to a bar and showed off the photos of Kobe Bryant to impress her. Vanessa says that Sheriff Villanueva tried to cover it up by going to the sheriff’s substation that responded to the crash and telling deputies if they deleted the photos they wouldn’t face any disciplinary actions.
The lawsuit also includes the fact that Vanessa is terrified that the photos will eventually be leaked to the public. She is seeking unspecified damages, including punitive damages, claiming Sheriff Villanueva and the department caused her severe emotional distress.
Just recently Vanessa Bryant subliminally responds to Villanueva after he called out Lebron James. She took to her Instagram story to remind the world that this is the same guy demanding trust when his own deputies couldn’t even be trusted to protect her family’s privacy.
Vanessa Bryant along with the families of the other victims all have pending wrongful death lawsuits against Island Express. Island Express, the company that owned the helicopter involved in the fatal crash has also filed suits against 2 air traffic controllers, blaming them for the crash.
