James Timothy Norman owner and former Reality TV show star of Sweetie Pie’s has been arrested on federal charges. In 2014, Norman purchased a $450,000 life insurance policy on his 18-year-old nephew, Andre Montgomery. Norman had listed himself as sole beneficiary.

The day before the arranged murder, Norman and an accomplice named Terica Ellis flew into St.Louis. On March 14, 2016 burner phones were activated by Norman and Ellis. These phones were used to communicate for that day. Ellis also contacted Andrew to get his location. Immediately after getting Andrew’s location, Ellis then called Norman.

Andrew was shot and killed around 8:00 pm the same day. Ellis’s phone is traced to the same location around the time where Andrew was murdered. Another call was placed to Norman after the murder.
In the days after his murder, Ellis deposited over $9,000 in cash into several different bank accounts. On March 21, 2016, Norman reached out to the insurance company to collect on the policy for his nephew’s death.
Norman was charged with conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities (a cellphone) in the commission of a murder-for-hire, resulting in death. He is currently being held at Madison County Detention Center.
