Our priority continues to be the health and safety of all involved, and we are working with public health experts and government officials on a comprehensive set of guidelines to ensure that appropriate medical protocols and protections are in place.- NBA Chief Communications Officer Mike Bass.
In order to participate in the season and live in the housing, public health professionals advised that all players receive COVID-19 testing. The NBA tweeted that out of 302 NBA players tested on June 23, 16 players tested positive for the coronavirus.
Players who did test positive has to remain self quarantined until public health protocols have been met, and have been cleared by a physician.
