Wow as if anything Trump says comes to us as a surprise. During a press conference President Trump suggested scientists should investigate if they could inject the human body with disinfectants to kill the virus.

Yes, unfortunately you read that correctly. “I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute” he said. “Is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs, and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that”

I really can’t make this up, look at the video below:

In a statement from RB, they mentioned that “Due to recent speculation and social media activity, RB (the makers of Lysol and Dettol) has been asked whether internal administration of disinfectants may be appropriate for investigation or use as a treatment for coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).”

Along with the suggestion of disinfectant the President also mentioned trying UV light radiation to treat COVID-19.

The U.S. Surgeon General said in a tweet to PLEASE always talk with your health provider first before administering any treatment/medication to yourself or loved ones.

Yes, in 2020 this is a thing. The President of the United States was truly considering using cleaning products to cure a virus.
