Jimmy Fallon has issued an apology for a Saturday Night Live (SNL) skit he did back in 2000. The video resurfaced earlier today and on twitter the hashtag #jimmyfallonisoverparty began to trend.
The skit that aired in 2000, Jimmy came out in blackface dressed as the famous comedian to join Regis Philbin, played by Darrell Hammond, and crack some Chris Rock jokes.
Jimmy Fallon is the host for ‘The Tonight Show’ on NBC. Fans on Twitter are calling for NBC to fire Fallon after the incident resurfaced. Many people on twitter pointed out that NBC fired Megyn Kelly in 2018 for making controversial comments defending the use of blackface.
