In west Philadelphia born and raised….., ok sorry I got excited! It’s hard to start that theme song and not finish it right? How would you feel about a modern-day reboot of this popular 90’s sitcom?

Do you remember the Bel-Air trailer that released last year on youtube? So many fans were excited about a possible reboot. With all the created buzz around the trailer, there is now an official reboot in development.

Full Trailer here:

Take a look to see what Will Smith had to say about the trailer.

Peacock, HBO Max, and Netflix are all in on the bidding process for the series, though this would be a huge get for either HBO Max or Peacock. Peacock is NBC Universal’s streaming service, and NBC is where the original series called home.

As for HBO Max, they currently have the streaming rights to the original series, so this would be a perfect compliment once fans binge the original series, and would give them another exclusive show to help build their subscriber base. Both services could use this project, but Netflix is looking like the top contender.

Smith will also serve as executive producer along with the original producers Quincy Jones, Benny Medina, and series creators Andy and Susan Borowitz. Chris Collins will be the showrunner and is co-writing the script with Cooper.

Are you all excited about this?
