“Primetime” Deion Sanders is the new Jackson State University Head Football Coach. NFL Hall of Famer and legendary cornerback Deion Sanders has filled the head coaching vacancy at Jackson State University.

Originally Sanders was reported as not being one of the final candidates for the position, however, it appears things have changed. Before Sanders can officially take over the reins of the JSU football program there are a few contractual issues that must be sorted out.

The biggest obstacle is the fact that Primetime is under contract as an Under Armour athlete/rep, whereas JSU athletics just signed a new deal with Nike in 2018. Everything else however seems minuscule and will be worked out fairly easily.

Sanders does not have any prior head coaching experience but has served as the offensive coordinator for the past 2 seasons for his son’s high school in Texas. However, when your nickname is “Primetime”, you are widely considered the greatest not only at your position, but overall, and you are an NFL Hall of Famer, who needs experience?
