The Dallas Cowboys pulled off what many said they couldn’t. Many fans even went as far as turning the game off.
Well, the victory ended up belonging to the Dallas Cowboys. After trailing 20-0 in the first quarter, the Cowboys scored 40 points including 16 points in the 4th quarter. They overcame four fumbles to beat the Atlanta Falcons 40-39.
Atlanta Falcon’s Matt Ryan threw four touchdown passes, two off lost fumbles from the Cowboys, on the way to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter.
The Falcons were still up 15 in the fourth quarter before Dak Prescott became the first quarterback in NFL history to pass for more than 400 yards and rush for three touchdowns in the same game.
Prescott went 34 of 47 for 450 yards passing including 1 passing touch down. C.J. Goodwin recovered the onside kick with 1:48 remaining, and rookie receiver CeeDee Lamb’s 24-yard catch was the game-changer. It set the Cowboys up in good field goal range.
Kicker Greg Zuerlein kicked the game-winning 46-yard field goal as the time expired. Dallas is now 1-1 and will travel to play Seattle next week.
Well if you see a Dallas fan tomorrow, it’s safe to say that you owe them lunch. I’m pretty sure this is how all Dallas fans are feeling right now.
