Bill Withers who is famously known for his soulful songs in the 1970s has died at the age of 81 due to heart complications. Songs like Lean on Me, Lovely Day and Aint No Sunshine will forever live on as timeless classics.
Withers was a three-time Grammy Award Winner and he stopped making music around the mid-1980s. According to his family the singer passed on Monday March 30th. As the public is becoming aware of his death, they are paying tribute to him on social media. Many are using his song ‘Lean On Me’ as inspiration during the coronavirus pandemic. Healthcare workers, choirs, artist and fans are all posting their own rendition of the song to help them through this time.
