When it comes to philanthropy Beyoncé is no stranger. Beyoncé does everything for the culture. Today, BET announced that Queen B would be honored at the 2020 BET Awards by receiving the Humanitarian Award. The 20th Annual BET Awards will take place Sunday, June 28 at 8 PM ET/ 5 PT.

This honor is well deserved! Beyoncé is undeniably the largest icon of this decade. Beyoncé has sold over 100 million records worldwide, holds 24 Grammys, not to mention a catalog of timeless music. On top of being a global phenomenon, Beyoncé is also a philanthropist who has created and supported several initiatives to give back to the world at large, including her own BeyGOOD initiative, making her the best selection for this year’s Humanitarian Award.

Beyoncé spoke during the Global Citizens event honoring essential workers. She also gave the commencement speech for the class of 2020.

Recently Beyoncé and her BeyGOOD initiative assisted with COVID-19 donating proceeds from her hit with Megan Thee Stallion, Savage remix. She also didn’t disappoint when she dropped a song for the culture ‘Black Parade’. Proceeds from that song benefited black-owned businesses.

Congratulations Beyoncé !!
