The shooter accused of killing Judge Salas’s 20-year-old son and injuring her husband has been identified as anti-feminist lawyer Roy Den Hollander.
Hollander approached the door of Judge Salas home around 5pm dressed as a FedEx worker. Salas son answered the door with her husband right behind him. Her son Daniel Anderl was shot through the heart and died instantly. Her husband Mark Anderl was in critical condition but after surgery has been listed as stable.
On Hollander’s website, he describes himself as an “anti-feminist” lawyer who represents and defends “men’s rights”.
Earlier today the FBI named him as the primary suspect before finding him at home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Judge Salas neighbor mentioned that she had some concerns about her safety due to the nature of her job. Hollander was no stranger to Salas.
Hollander argued one case before Salas, according to federal court records: a lawsuit where he represented a woman and her daughter as they sought to register for the military’s selective service. In the case, Den Hollander’s clients claimed the draft was unconstitutional because it barred women from registering.
